Making a difference to our communities

Inverness Shinty Club and our Shinty Academy is proud that the Archie Foundation and in particular Archie Highlands is our charity of choice.

As a club with around 300 young young people playing shinty in the majority of Inverness primary schools, it's inevitable that at some point, some of our families will require to use hospital facilities and Archie’s.

Sport has a huge part to play in a young person’s development including fitness, social skills, making friends, inclusiveness, teamwork - and as a club, we want to show the importance of social responsibility in our community.

We want our young shinty players to be ambassadors not only for shinty but also for Archie’s and help spread the word about the work of Archie's and the valuable services provided.

All Inverness Shinty Club players will promote the Archie’s logo on all of our shinty strips, from youth to adults as a clear sign of our commitment to this charity.

Visit the Archies website to find out more or see their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts.
